La fusillade de Moncton : Le suspect attendu aujourd’hui au Palais de justice

Le mercredi 4 juin, trois agents de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada avaient été abattus à Moncton, au Nouveau-Brunswick par Justin Bourque, 24 ans. Deux autres agents avaient également été blessés lors de la confrontation. Le tireur avait réussi à prendre la fuite, mais grâce à un important déploiement des policiers, le suspect a pu être interpellé 30 heures après la fusillade.

Il devrait comparaitre aujourd’hui, jeudi 3 juillet, devant la Cour du Palais de Justice de Moncton pour répondre de ses actes. Il répondra à plusieurs chefs d’accusation dont meurtre au premier degré et tentative de meurtre.

La fusillade avait créé une situation de panique et de frayeur extrême chez les habitants du secteur de Pinehurst qui étaient contraints de se barricader chez eux vu les alertes lancées par la police qui décrivait le tireur de dangereux et lourdement armé.

Les trois agents de la GRC décédés lors de cette fusillade sont Douglas James Larche, David Ross et Fabrice Georges Gevaudan. Quant aux deux blessés, Eric Dubois et Darlene Goguen, ils ont pu quitter l’hôpital. Selon la Presse Canadienne
