Colombie : 11 personnes appartenant à une communauté amérindienne perdent la vie à cause de la foudre

Une vallée de la Sierra Nevada, dans la région de Magdalena au nord de la Colombie a été frappée par la foudre. Cette dernière a causé le décès de 11 personnes et a blessé une quinzaine d’autres dont 6 sont dans un état critique.

Ces personnes, qui appartiennent à une communauté amérindienne, la tribu de l’ethnie wiwa, célébraient une cérémonie spirituelle lors de l’orage. Le président colombien Juan Manuel Santos a confirmé les faits sur son compte Twitter et a exprimé sa solidarité avec la communauté indigène de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

Il a également demandé l’évacuation des personnes blessées, qui présentent des brûlures au deuxième et troisième degré, via hélicoptère vu que l’hôpital le plus proche est à près de 1000 kilomètres. Selon des informations de l’AFP
